Abstract

In the current conditions of globalization and integration of national economies into the world market, international business increasingly depends on the socio-economic stability, institutional stability and investment attractiveness of individual countries. Poland and Ukraine are of strategic importance for international business in the Eastern European region. In this context, a comparative analysis of the socio-economic development of Poland and Ukraine is necessary to identify factors of successful transformation, identify risks and opportunities, as well as to form effective strategies for entering these markets.

The purpose of the article is to conduct a comparative analysis of the socio-economic development of Poland and Ukraine based on key macroeconomic indicators and international indices in order to identify structural differences, institutional advantages and challenges that are important for international business.

To achieve the goal, the article uses general scientific and special research methods, in particular the method of logical abstraction, analysis and synthesis, deductions, mathematical, statistical and graphical-analytical methods.

The article provides a comparative analysis of the socio-economic development of Poland and Ukraine based on key economic indicators and a number of international rating indices. The results of the analysis and research point to Poland's key advantages on the world stage, in particular, the stability of institutions, EU membership, and a high level of investment security, while Ukraine, despite its significant potential, faces numerous challenges related to political instability, war, corruption, and the imperfection of the institutional environment. A number of implications for the effective conduct of international business in Ukraine and Poland have been identified, relating to improving institutional capacity, ensuring transparency of the regulatory environment, and minimizing investment risks, and can serve as a guideline for strategic planning of international companies in the region and the formation of state policies aimed at improving the business climate.
